We wash our hands, we take a shower and we cook, we do all of this with a simple rotation of the faucet, as it were something simple and natural. However, water supply has been a headache for city authorities over the last decades, mainly because of contamination.
From the 115 existing wells in the highly populated San Fernando Valley, only half of them can be used. In a couple of years, all of them will be too polluted.
With imported water prices boosting, DWP of Los Angeles city has come up with a multi-millonaire plan to clean the SFV groundwater wells, by building the largest sanitation plant of its kind in North Hollywood.
